Services and instrumentation are available to all members of the METC. Most are on a subsidized fee for service basis. Developing an efficient cost model will require some use information. Thus, for the next three months, these services will be offered at lower than cost recovery levels. These services include the following:

GenomeLab™ GeXP Genetic Analysis System

Quantitative Gene Expression – A multiplex solution for quantitative, high-throughput, cost-effective gene expression analysis. The GenomeLab GeXP Genetic Analysis System utilizes a patented, highly multiplexed PCR approach, coupled to capillary electrophoresis quantitation to quickly and efficiently look at the expression of multiplexed gene sets at low cost with sensitivity and speed. The QIAxcel system — DNA fragment and RNA analysis

qiaxcelPerform DNA fragment analysis in as little as ten minutes for twelve samples — with no need for agarose gel preparation. The revolutionary QIAxcel system replaces traditional, labor-intensive gel analysis of DNA and RNA— streamlining your workflow and reducing time to result. The QIAxcel system fully automates sensitive, high-resolution capillary electrophoresis for up to 96 samples per run. Ready-to-run gel cartridges allow 96 samples to be prepared with a minimum of hands-on interaction, reducing manual handling errors.

QIAcube automated DNS-RNA Purification

qiacubeThe QIAcube uses advanced technology to process QIAGEN spin columns, enabling seamless integration of automated, low-throughput sample prep into your laboratory workflow. No change of purification chemistry is required, assuring fast startup and immediate results. All steps in the purification procedure are fully automated – including sample lysis – and up to 12 samples can be processed per run.

Fully automated purification of nucleic acids or proteins using QIAGEN spin kits on the QIAcube eliminates the need for tedious manual steps. Sample preparation on the QIAcube follows the same steps as the manual procedure (i.e., lyse, bind, wash, and elute) (See Flowchart). No change in purification chemistry is required (see table “The QIAcube automates proven QIAGEN spin-column kits“).
