Professor Mark Cook was inducted into the Poultry Industry Hall of Fame’s Class of 2019

The late Mark Cook (Professor, Animal Sciences) was inducted into the Poultry Industry Hall of Fame’s Class of 2019. He was a world renowned researcher in poultry sciences, receiving numerous patents and other honors. His presence around the Tox Center continues to be missed. He was the long-time chair of the Graduate Achievement Committee, the long-time faculty coordinator for MET 800 seminar, and served in various other capacities as student advisory committee member.

His legacy of MET students includes Candy Schrank (MS ’89), Wendy Altmann-Lasekan (MS ’89), Natalie DiNicola (PHD ’95), Danielle Devoney (PHD ’99), Guangming Li (PHD ’04), Kenneth Brown (MS ’07), Jake Olson (PHD ’16), and Jessica Muhlenbeck (PHD, ’18). He has also served as Postdoctoral advisors for MET alum Jordan Sand (PHD ’10).
